What this is
Fractal mirror repeats your image inside itself, drawn on the GPU as you watch. The Droste effect is the classic case: a picture that holds a smaller copy of itself, which holds a smaller copy again, without end. Six modes bend that idea into zooms, mirrored grids, kaleidoscopes, tunnels and spiral arms.
How to use it
- Drop an image on the canvas, or keep the sample.
- Pick a mode or a preset, then shape it with the sliders.
- Drag on the canvas to move the center, then save a PNG.

Common questions
How big is the saved PNG?
It is the picture as drawn, in the shape of your image: at most 1200 pixels on its long side, and at most 720 on a phone.
Does it work on a phone or tablet?
Yes. Drag with a finger to move the centre. Every mode and preset is there; phones draw a smaller picture.
Is my picture uploaded?
No. The picture is drawn on your device and never leaves it.
Why is a picture from another tool here?
Pictures you add are kept on this device for every lab tool that takes one, so you need not add them again. Press × on a tile to forget that picture; the sample comes back.
