What this is
Shape Shift turns a sequence of marks into one living loop: a seed that sprouts, opens into a lotus and ripens into fruit; a sun that wanes into a crescent; a word that travels from English into Tamil, Hindi and Japanese; or your own logo melting into your own name. Each mark becomes a distance field on your graphics card, so the edges stay clean at any size, and a lens adds a colour fringe and a smear only while a mark is moving. It is free, needs no sign-in, and saves a PNG or a looping MP4.
How to use it
- Build the sequence: start from Grow, Sky, Elements, Scripts or Geometry, add single marks, type words in any language, or drop an SVG, PNG or photo on the page (a paste works too).
- Choose how it moves under Morph and Lens, and how it looks under Look: the ground's noise (or Noise off, N), the colours, the font, an outline, the size.
- Pick a frame (1:1, 4:5, 9:16, 16:9) and press Picture (E) for a PNG or Take for one loop as an MP4; Reset (R) starts over.
Make an opening or closing card for a reel, a logo that grows into its name and back, one word in every language of its audience, or a slow loop for a story or a waiting screen. One loop is the whole sequence, so a Take always ends where it began.

Common questions
Can I use my logo?
Yes. Drop its SVG on the page, press Add picture, or paste the SVG code. A logo in one colour on a clear ground works best. Put your name after it in the sequence and it grows into the word.
Can I write in my own language?
Yes. Type any word in any script and press Add; commas split it into several marks. Latin words use Font for words; other scripts use the best font your device has for them.
How long is a Take?
One full loop of the sequence: the hold and the morph of every mark, up to 60 seconds, at 60 frames a second. The line under Frame says the length and the size before you press Take.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, with a recent Chrome. The frame carries its own buttons (pause, next, noise, add picture, picture and take) and the panel opens as a sheet from the bottom.
