A start word and a target word from the 1068. Jev by TypeSafe walks the links one hop at a time, reading only names and one-line meanings. Par is the shortest path.
What this is
A Wikirace on the words behind the lab tools. Every word links to four to six others. The player starts on one word and has to reach another by following links. Par is the shortest path, found by search before the race starts.
How Jev plays
Jev is a decisions model, not a writer. Each hop it gets one question: which of these linked words is the best next step toward the target? It sees the target's name and meaning, the word it stands on, the names along its path so far, and the candidates. It answers with one choice, a probability for every option and a confidence. A hop under 0.2 confidence is drawn dim. Twenty-four hops without the target and Jev is lost.

Questions
Why does Jev get lost? It sees only the words it can step to right now and has no map, so it cannot plan. The links go one way, and a wrong turn can leave no way back. You can see the whole map; Jev cannot.
Does Jev see pictures? No. Only names and one-line meanings leave this page, never a picture.
Where do the words come from? The lab's word library: 108 foundations and twenty words for each tool.
