Question 1

What is Painterly flow?

Accepted Answer

Painterly flow finds the direction of the edges in the picture and paints along them. The oil look uses a Kuwahara filter, which keeps the calmest patch around each pixel so flat areas turn into strokes while edges stay sharp.

Question 2

How do I use Painterly flow?

Accepted Answer

Tap the image to paint the second image in. Choose oil for brush size and edge sharpness, or comb for stroke length and bristles. Swap in your own two images, then save a PNG or record a video.

Question 3

Where do my pictures go?

Accepted Answer

Nowhere. They are opened in your browser and drawn on your graphics card. Nothing is uploaded. The pictures you add stay on this device, in this browser, so the other lab tools can open them too; × on a picture removes it.
