Particle overlay composer guide
Keep your work
Everything is made in your browser, and nothing is uploaded. Inside, the tool works in high range, but everything it saves is standard range (SDR): the PNG is 8 bits per channel, after tone mapping. There is no video export and no copy to the clipboard.
| Button | What you get |
|---|---|
| Save PNG | The frame at the moment you press, named aikizi_particle_overlay_ and a number. It is 1296 × 944 pixels on a computer, and 648 × 472 on phones and touch screens, whatever size the frame shows on screen. It has no see-through parts. See PNG. |
| Save project | A project file, named aikizi_particle_overlay_ and a number, ending in .json. It holds every layer with its gradient colours, the chosen layer, the picture settings and every scene setting. It does not hold the picture itself. |
| Load project | Opens a project file of up to 2 MB and replaces the scene with it. A picture you added shows under it only if the scene was saved with a picture showing; otherwise choose it again. On phones and touch screens the star count is cut to 60,000. |
| Save | A named preset under Presets, kept in this browser, with a small picture of the frame. It holds the same scene a project file does, without the picture. |
The scene you are working on is also kept in this browser as you change it, and comes back when you reopen the page. Your picture is not in the scene, a preset or a project file: it is kept on this device on the picture tiles, and opens again as the subject until you press × on its tile.
Presets and the kept scene live in this browser only. Clearing site data, or a private window, loses them, and another browser will not see them. Save a project file to keep a scene safe or move it.
