Question 1

What is Woven Wind?

Accepted Answer

Woven Wind ties a knotted pile of up to a million threads onto a woven ground and moves it in a looping weather on your graphics card. Each thread is a short chain of points stepped by Verlet integration, so it bends, springs back and settles by itself. Your hand combs, raises, shears and dyes the pile while the wind keeps moving.

Question 2

How do I use Woven Wind?

Accepted Answer

Pick a mood above the rug to set the weather. Press Image A at the top of the panel to weave a picture of your own. Choose a tool on the left strip, then drag on the rug to work the pile. Save a PNG, an MP4 or one seamless loop from the bar above the rug.
