ASCII art guide
Keep your work
Everything is made in your browser, and nothing is uploaded. The PNG is standard range (SDR); nothing here is HDR.
| Button | What you get |
|---|---|
| Copy text | The characters on the clipboard as plain text, one line per row, with no colour. |
| Save .txt | The same characters in ascii-art.txt. |
| Save PNG | ascii-art.png: every character drawn in its colour on your background, with a 16-pixel margin. Its size follows the width, the number of rows, the font size, the line height and the letter spacing. |
| Save HTML | ascii-art.html: a web page with your background, font size, line height and letter spacing. Mono saves white text and Green saves green text. In ANSI 16 and Full RGB every character keeps its colour. |
| Copy image | The same picture as Save PNG, on the clipboard, where the browser allows it. |
Copied text and the .txt file hold only characters. Open or paste them where a monospace font is used, or the columns will not line up.
The HTML page links nothing outside itself. It asks for JetBrains Mono and falls back to Menlo, Consolas or another monospace font on the computer that opens it.
Braille and block characters need a font that has them. Most computers and phones do.
