Carved Light guide
Three looks
Each picture below is the sample under one look, with the lights hidden. Each look can be opened straight from its address, as the table shows.
Rembrandt
Press Rembrandt along the bottom. One warm light sits high and to the side, and the room light is low, so the far side of the face falls away. See rembrandt lighting.
The shadow under the brow and beside the nose comes from the depth itself: the light walks toward the lamp and stops where the face is in the way.

Drag the light lower and further round, and the triangle of light on the far cheek grows.
Window
Press Window. The light is a window: parallel daylight with the shadow of its panes, falling across the face and the helmet. See gobo.
Under Lamp, Pattern sets the size of the panes, and Softness under Light blurs their shadow as a larger window would.

Change the kind to Blinds under Lamp for thin bars instead of panes.
Ink
Press Ink. The light is drawn in two flat tones over softened colour, with a lavender shadow tone and a thin ink line where the depth jumps. See cel shading.
Under Finish, Tones gives a third tone, Tone edge softens the step between them and Ink sets how dark the line is.
