Chromatic fluid guide

Start

The tool opens with a colourful sample picture that is already being stirred.

What you need

• A browser with WebGL 2. Current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari have it.
• A picture, if you want your own. Bright, varied colours make the best swirls.

Your first result

1. Open Chromatic fluid. The sample is already moving.
2. Drag across the picture to push the fluid.
3. Press Image A to open a picture, or drop one on the frame.
4. Pick a starting point under Presets, or shape the flow with the sliders.
5. Open Actions and press Export PNG to keep the picture, or Record video to keep the motion.

Good to know

• Auto-stir keeps pushing the fluid on its own. Turn it off to stir only by hand.
• Reset colors brings your picture back and stills the water. Your settings stay.
• Your picture is kept on this device, and every lab tool that takes a picture opens with it, until you press × on its tile.
• On a phone the controls sit in a bar at the bottom of the screen. Tap the bar to open them.
