What this is
Color intelligence finds the main colors of an image with k-means clustering: it picks a few pixels as starting centers, sorts every pixel to its nearest center, and moves each center to the average of its group until the groups settle. Each pair of those colors then gets a WCAG contrast ratio, worked out from their relative luminance, which says whether text in one color stays readable on the other: 3:1 passes AA for large text, 4.5:1 passes AA and 7:1 passes AAA. The same colors are placed on a hue wheel under a harmony rule, measured for brightness in a histogram, read for warmth as a mood, and the image itself can be shown the way people with protanopia, deuteranopia or tritanopia see it.
How to use it
- Choose or drop an image, or keep the sample.
- Set the number of colors, then pick a harmony and a vision mode.
- Select a swatch to copy its hex code, or copy the whole palette as CSS variables, Tailwind colors or a hex list.

Common questions
Is it slow with a big picture?
Rarely. Every reading is made from a copy at most 200 pixels on its longest side, and the palette uses every second pixel of that. Only opening a very large photo takes a moment.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, with nothing left out. The controls sit in a bar at the bottom of the screen; tap it to open them. Swipe inside the frame to scroll through the readings. The shown picture is fitted to the screen.
Is my picture uploaded?
No. The picture is read on your device and never leaves it.
Why is a picture from another tool here?
Pictures you add are kept on this device for every lab tool that takes one, so you need not add them again. Press × on a tile to forget that picture; the logo the page opens with comes back.
