What this is
Color palette builds five colors at a time. Harmonious mode reads a base color as hue, saturation and lightness (HSL) and turns its hue by fixed angles on the color wheel: 180 degrees for the complement, 30 and 60 for analogous neighbors, 120 and 240 for a triad, 90, 180 and 270 for a tetrad, and 150 and 210 for a split complement. From image shrinks the picture to 100 pixels on its long side and sorts its pixels into five groups with k-means clustering, so each color is the average of one group, while a keyword picks each color at random inside the hue, saturation and lightness range of that mood.
How to use it

- Lock the colors you want to keep, then generate again or press Space.
- Select a color to copy its hex code, or copy the palette as CSS variables, Tailwind, JSON or a hex list.

Common questions
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Below 900 pixels wide the bars stack as rows. Tap a row to copy it and tap Lock to keep it. Space needs a keyboard, so use Generate palette. Nothing is capped on phones.
Is my picture uploaded?
No. The picture is read on your device and never leaves it.
Why is a picture from another tool here?
Pictures you add are kept on this device for every lab tool that takes one, so you need not add them again. Press × on a tile to forget that picture; the palette the page arrived with comes back.
