FX engine guide
Keep your work
FX engine saves what the canvas shows at that moment, with every effect, adjustment and finishing touch.
| Button | What you get |
|---|---|
| Save PNG | A lossless PNG named fx-engine- and the effect, such as fx-engine-vhs.png. |
| Save JPEG | A JPEG, such as fx-engine-vhs.jpg, at the JPEG quality set above it. Smaller, with some compression loss. |
| Copy | The same picture on the clipboard, as a PNG, where the browser allows it. |
The saved picture is the size the canvas has on your screen, not the size of your picture. A 4,000-pixel photo in a 900-pixel frame saves at about 900 pixels wide. To get more pixels, use a bigger window or screen.
On a phone, a touch screen or a window under 900 pixels wide, the canvas is at most 1,024 pixels on its long side, so saves are too.
Every save is standard range (SDR). Nothing here is HDR.
Effects that move, and film grain, save the frame of that moment.
Nothing is uploaded. The file is made on your device.
