Image morph guide

Three looks

Each picture below was made in Image morph from its two sample pictures, with a preset and Replay, and caught while the morph was moving. The table lists the buttons pressed. A run moves fast, so a picture you save will be a different moment.

Slow shapeshift

A pearl-covered head stretched tall into a gold-crowned figure with folded hands, two pictures half blended before red spires
Slow shapeshift halfway through: both pictures stretched hard towards each other.

Press Slow shapeshift under Presets, wait for Computing flow… to clear, then press Replay at the top of the panel.

The flow is smoother than Liquid morph's and the warp stronger, so large areas slide together a long way. The blend spreads over more of the run, and at 3.2 seconds it is the slowest preset.

PresetsSlow shapeshift
Load and saveReplay

Lower Warp strength to 0 to see the same run as a plain crossfade.

Dream drift

Two ornate figures softly overlaid, a spiked halo, a pearl-covered face and praying hands showing through each other
Dream drift partway through: a soft double picture, gently zoomed.

Press Dream drift under Presets, wait for Computing flow… to clear, then press Replay at the top of the panel.

The flow is as smooth as it goes and the warp light, so the shapes barely move. The blend lasts almost the whole run, so both pictures show through each other for longest, with the strongest zoom drift of the five. See ghosting.

PresetsDream drift
Load and saveReplay

Raise Zoom drift to 0.15 for the deepest zoom the slider allows.

Rubber pull

Two ornate figures pulled out of shape mid-blend, a blue face and a pale one smeared together, the halo and spires bent into streaks
Rubber pull partway through: shapes pulled out of place mid-swap.

Press Rubber pull under Presets, wait for Computing flow… to clear, then press Replay at the top of the panel.

The flow is less smooth, so it follows smaller areas, and the warp is the strongest of the five, so shapes stretch like rubber. Back out starts fast and overshoots a little before it settles, and the narrow blend makes the swap quick.

SettingValue
PresetsRubber pull
Load and saveReplay

Move Flow smoothness lower still to see where the bend starts to tear.
