Pixel art editor guide
Keep your work
Everything is made in your browser, and nothing is uploaded. The grid lines never appear in what you save. Every picture here is standard range (SDR); none is HDR.
| Button | What you get |
|---|---|
| 1x | A PNG with one pixel per square, named pixel-art-16x16-1x.png for a 16 × 16 grid. The grid size and scale are in every name. |
| 4x | Each square as a 4 × 4 block: 64 × 64 pixels for a 16 × 16 grid. |
| 8x | Each square as an 8 × 8 block: 128 × 128 pixels for a 16 × 16 grid. |
| 16x | Each square as a 16 × 16 block: 256 × 256 pixels for a 16 × 16 grid, and 1024 × 1024 for a 64 × 64 grid, the largest file the tool makes. |
| Copy | The drawing at 4x as a PNG on the clipboard, where the browser allows it. |
Every square becomes a solid block of its colour, with no blur between blocks. See nearest-neighbour scaling.
The Background you picked goes into the file: see-through with Transparent, or filled with white or black. See transparent background.
Nothing is kept when you leave or reload the page. Save a PNG before you pick a grid size, press Reset canvas or close the tab.
