What this is
Standing Sound measures every moment of a sound — its pitch, its loudness, its brightness, how much of it is tone and how much noise — and sets each one down in 3D where it belongs. In the Corridor time is depth and pitch goes around you; in the Bloom the music grows outward; in the Score time runs left and pitch climbs. A beat passes through as a ring. Hold it still, turn it, and touch any point to hear that moment again. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded. It is free, needs no sign-in, and records a 1080p, 1440p or 4K video with the sound: an MP4, or a WebM where the browser cannot make one.
How to use it
Play the house piece, open a sound file, or listen to the microphone or a browser tab. Drag to turn the room; the wheel or a pinch comes nearer.
Pick a room: Corridor, Bloom or Score. Press Hold still, then touch any point to hear that moment again. Keep puts the held piece on this device's shelf.
Press Take to record a 1080p, 1440p or 4K video with the sound, or Picture for a PNG; JSON and PLY write every point the held room shows.

Common questions
Can I use the sample songs in my video?
Yes. Bhakti, Cassettes, Rain and Astral Caravan are by cyberyogi, made with Suno, and free to use in what you record here.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The room fills the screen and carries its own buttons at the foot: Corridor, Bloom and Score, then Hold, Keep, Take and Picture. One finger turns the room, two pinch it nearer, and a tap hears the point under it. The reading is one line at the top. The panel is a sheet at the bottom, for a sound file, the samples, the microphone and a take's size. Held upright, a phone records a tall take, 1080 × 1920, unless you choose otherwise; 1080p is the size a phone draws most easily. A phone cannot share a browser tab's sound, so that source is not offered there. While a sound plays or a take runs, the page asks the phone to keep its screen on.
