What this is
Style DNA compares the look of two images on six measures: color histogram, edge density, texture, brightness, contrast and warmth. Texture uses a local binary pattern, which records whether each pixel's eight neighbors are lighter or darker than it and counts how often each pattern appears. Each measure scores from 0 to 100, and the weights decide how much each one counts toward the overall similarity.
How to use it
- Choose or drop image A and image B, or try the sample pair.
- Read the six scores on the radar and the bars, then weight the measures you care about.
- Switch between side by side, overlay and difference, then download a PNG.

Common questions
Is my picture uploaded?
No. Both pictures are read and measured on your device and never leave it.
Why is a picture from another tool here?
Pictures you add are kept on this device for every lab tool that takes one, so you need not add them again. Press × on a tile to forget that picture; that side's sample comes back.
Does a big picture take longer?
Hardly. Every picture is shrunk to 200 × 200 pixels before it is measured, so a big photo scores as quickly as a small one. It only takes longer to open.
Does it work on a phone or tablet?
Yes. The controls sit in a bar at the bottom of the screen; tap it to open them. Press Image A and Image B to pick pictures from the phone. It draws on a 2D canvas, with no WebGL, so it runs wherever the browser does.
