Shape Shift guide

Three looks

Each picture below was made in Shape Shift and caught mid-morph. Everything not listed stays as the room opens.

Grow, as it opens

A hand-drawn lotus a third of the way into a flower, black on a cream paper ground, a thin red and blue fringe along its moving edges
The lotus a third of the way into the flower, in Blend, on the Paper ground.

The room's own loop: seven marks of a life, from seed to fruit. Halfway through a morph the fringe and the smear are at their strongest; at each hold the mark is clean again.

SettingValue

Turn Through nothing on to let each mark shrink away before the next grows.

Sky in Ink, on a night ground

A cream sun and crescent pooled together into one shape on a black ground, a fringe of red and blue at the edges
Sky in Ink with the Night colours, halfway from the sun to the crescent.

Ink lets the two marks pool together mid-way, so the crescent grows out of the sun's disc while the rays thin away. Night puts cream on black.

Raise Warp for a deeper pool, or pick Grain under Ground for a ground that moves.

Love in five scripts, as an outline

The word love drawn as a thin black outline on cream paper, its letters bending as it starts to become the Tamil word for love
Scripts in Melt with Outline on, as love starts to become அன்பு.

The Scripts set walks one word through five scripts: love, அன்பு, प्रेम, 愛 and amor. With Outline on, each word is a line along its edge, and Melt bends it with slow noise as one word becomes the next.
