Nano Banana Pro price per image: 8, 16 and 24 credits

What one Nano Banana Pro picture costs on aikizi in credits and in cents, against Google's published API rate, plus why a per-image comparison with Midjourney cannot honestly be made.

On aikizi, Nano Banana Pro costs 8 credits at 1K, 16 at 2K and 24 at 4K. On the $20 Pro plan that works out at about 3.7 cents a picture at 1K and 7.4 cents at 2K. Google's own published API rate for the same model is $0.134 an image at 1K or 2K and $0.24 at 4K, as of September 2026 — so a picture bought through a plan here costs roughly a quarter of the raw API price.

The price, three ways

Route1K2K4K
aikizi credits81624
Cash equivalent on Pro ($20 ÷ 540 credits)$0.037$0.074$0.111
Cash equivalent on Basic ($8 ÷ 180 credits)$0.036$0.071$0.107
Google's published API rate$0.134$0.134$0.24

Two things that table shows and most pricing pages do not. First, Basic and Pro cost almost exactly the same per picture — about 3.6 cents at 1K either way. You are not buying a discount by upgrading; you are buying volume and the 10-reference limit. Second, a plan picture is roughly a quarter of Google's list price, because a subscription that goes partly unused subsidises one that does not.

What one picture at each price looks like

A worn 1990 one-rupee coin on the bevelled edge of a marble slab, hard raking light picking out the milled edge and the wheat-stalk relief, black background
Nano Banana Pro, 1K, 3:2 — 8 credits, about 3.7 cents on the $20 plan. Made for this page. The struck lettering came out legible first time, which is the Pro tier earning its half of the gap. Its decode.

The same coin at 4K would be 24 credits, about 11 cents — and it would not be the same coin. Each size is generated separately, so the price ladder is also a ladder of different pictures; part 3 of the generation series puts all three side by side.

The cheaper models, priced the same way

ModelCredits at 1KOn Pro, per pictureGoogle's API rate
Nano Banana Pro8$0.037$0.134
Nano Banana 24$0.019$0.067
Nano Banana 2 Lite2$0.009$0.0336

Under a cent a picture for a Lite draft is the number worth remembering. Most of what you generate while deciding a composition does not need the expensive model at all.

Why you cannot compare this to Midjourney per picture

Because Midjourney does not sell pictures. It sells GPU time: plans from $10 to $120 a month carrying fast-GPU hours, with relax mode unlimited above the entry tier. Any "price per Midjourney image" figure is somebody's division, not a published rate. Google publishes per-image rates; Midjourney publishes GPU hours; Leonardo publishes tokens that its own documentation says do not map to a fixed image count. That is the honest shape of this market as of September 2026, and a comparison table with a dollar figure in every cell would be inventing three of them.

FAQ

What does Nano Banana Pro cost per image?

8 credits at 1K, 16 at 2K and 24 at 4K on aikizi. On the $20 Pro plan that is about 3.7 cents at 1K, 7.4 at 2K and 11 at 4K. Google's own published API rate for the same model is $0.134 at 1K or 2K and $0.24 at 4K.

Is a plan cheaper than paying Google directly?

Per picture, yes — roughly a quarter of the list API rate, because a subscription that goes partly unused subsidises one that does not. The raw API rate only wins if your volume is far past what a plan carries.

Is Pro cheaper per image than Basic?

No. Both work out at about 3.6 cents per 1K picture. Upgrading buys volume and the 10-reference limit, not a lower unit price.

What is the cheapest AI image on aikizi?

Nano Banana 2 Lite at 2 credits, 1K only — under a cent on either paid plan. It is the right tool for drafting a composition before you spend on the finished picture.

How does this compare to Midjourney's price per image?

It cannot be compared directly. Midjourney sells GPU hours, not pictures, so any per-image figure for it is someone's arithmetic rather than a published rate.

The plans those cents come from are on pricing, and the full credit table with pictures at each size is part 1 of the generation series. What $20 buys in finished pictures is here.
