Mesh warp guide

Three looks

Each picture below was made in Mesh warp from the sample it opens with. The table under each one is the whole recipe; everything not listed stays as the page opens.

Twist on a fine grid

The sample picture turned around its middle, under a fine grid whose lines curl towards the centre
The Twist preset on the 12 × 12 grid, with the grid showing.

The grid lines show the bend itself: straight at the edges, curling more and more towards the middle.

Pin a few points first, then press Twist again: the pinned ones stay still and the picture bends around them.

Shear, picture only

The sample picture leaning to one side, with dark empty corners at the top right and bottom left and no grid on it
The Shear preset with the grid and points hidden.

With the grid and points off you see what the PNG will hold. The top slides left and the bottom slides right, so the picture leans.

Two corners are left empty; in the PNG they are see-through. The other two are pushed past the frame and cut off.

Turn Show grid back on to see the grid lean with the picture.

Flag, moving

The sample picture rippling like a flag, more on the right, under its moving grid
One moment of the Flag animation at full amplitude.

The ripple is small on the left and grows towards the right, like cloth held at one side. The picture is one moment; on the page it keeps moving.

Press Record video while it plays to keep the movement.
