Painterly flow guide

Everything is made in your browser, and nothing is uploaded. The PNG and the video are standard range (SDR); neither is HDR.
| Button | What you get |
|---|---|
| Save PNG | The frame as aikizi-painterly-flow.png, 1280 pixels on its long side, whatever the size on screen; the short side follows the shape of picture A. |
| Record video | Up to seven seconds as aikizi-painterly-flow.webm, at 30 frames a second and at the same size as the PNG. A browser that cannot record WebM saves aikizi-painterly-flow.mp4 instead. See WebM, MP4 and MediaRecorder. |
A PNG is the frame at the moment you press. Between runs that is the painting of the picture the last run ended on, so a still needs no run; to catch the two pictures mixed, press Replay and then Save PNG while the run plays.
A video always lasts about seven seconds, unless you stop it. With B paints in on, the run plays first and the painting of the other picture holds for the rest; a faster Transition speed leaves a longer still end. With it off, the video holds the painted picture A for the whole time.
The browser picks the video format before it records, trying WebM first. See format check. When it can record neither, the line under the buttons says so and nothing is saved.
The page keeps only the pictures you added, on this device. Reloading it opens them again (the sample pictures if you added none) and brings back the Broad oil preset.
