Fractal mirror guide
Three looks
Each picture below was made in Fractal mirror from the sample it opens with. The table under each one is the whole recipe.
Auto-rotate is off to hold the picture still, and Zoom depth is low so each copy stays sharp.
Escher spiral
Follow the copies inwards: each is a smaller copy of the picture, and together they wind towards the centre. That is the spiral form of the Droste effect.
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Presets | Escher spiral |
| Auto-rotate | Off |
| Zoom depth | 0.7 |
Zen mandala
With Mirror on, the twelve slices meet edge to edge, so the sample becomes a round, even pattern.
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Presets | Zen mandala |
| Auto-rotate | Off |
| Pulse | Off |
| Zoom depth | 0.7 |
Try Symmetry at 6 or 8 for bolder slices.
Wormhole
The picture repeats in rings that shrink towards the middle, so you seem to look down a tunnel.
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Presets | Wormhole |
| Auto-rotate | Off |
| Auto-zoom | Off |
| Zoom depth | 0.5 |
Turn Auto-zoom back on to travel down it.
