Fractal mirror guide
Start
The tool opens with a sample picture already turning in a spiral.
What you need
- A browser with WebGL 2. Current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari have it.
- A picture, if you want your own. Bold shapes and strong colours repeat well.
Your first result
- Open Fractal mirror. The sample is already a spiral.
- Press Image A to open a picture, or drop one anywhere on the page.
- Pick a mode under Mode, or a starting point under Presets.
- Drag on the picture to move the centre the copies shrink towards.
- Press Save PNG at the top of the panel to keep it as fractal-mirror.png.
Good to know
- The PNG is the picture as drawn: at most 1200 pixels on its long side, and at most 720 on a phone. It is standard range (SDR).
- Copy puts the same picture on the clipboard, where the browser allows it.
- Auto-rotate is what keeps the pattern moving. Turn it off to hold a frame still before you save.
- Your picture is kept on this device, and every lab tool that takes a picture opens with it, until you press × on its tile.
- On a phone the controls sit in a bar at the bottom of the screen. Tap the bar to open them.
