Coordinates are a pair of numbers that say where something is. The first number, x, counts across from the left. The second, y, counts down from the top on most screens, which is upside down compared with school graphs. A pixel at (7, 5) is seven steps across and five steps down. Every click, shape and pixel in a tool is found this way.
